Question 1

What width vanity unit do I need?

Accepted Answer

Measure the available wall space carefully. Vanity units typically come in widths from 400mm (cloakroom) to 1200mm (double basin). For a standard bathroom, 600mm or 800mm is most popular. Remember to account for any pipework, radiators, or door swings that could affect placement.

Question 2

Wall hung vs freestanding vanity units — which is better?

Accepted Answer

Wall-hung units create a floating look, make floor cleaning easier, and can make a small bathroom feel more spacious. Freestanding units are easier to install (no wall-mounting required), offer more storage, and hide pipework. Both are excellent choices — it depends on your bathroom style and practical needs.

Question 3

Do vanity units come with basins included?

Accepted Answer

It varies by product. Many of our vanity units include a matching basin, but some are sold as the unit only, giving you the flexibility to choose your own basin. The product page clearly states whether a basin is included. Check the 'What's in the box' section for full details.

Question 4

What material are vanity units made from?

Accepted Answer

Most vanity units use moisture-resistant MDF or engineered wood with a laminate, painted, or wood-effect finish. Premium units may use solid wood or high-gloss lacquer. Check the material and care guidance for your chosen unit, and maintain good bathroom ventilation.

Question 5

Can I get a vanity unit to match my toilet unit?

Accepted Answer

Yes — we stock combination furniture sets that include a vanity unit, WC unit, and sometimes additional storage, all in the same finish and style. This creates a coordinated, fitted-furniture look. Browse our combination furniture collection for matching sets.

Question 6

How do I install a wall-hung vanity unit?

Accepted Answer

Wall-hung units need to be mounted onto a solid wall (brick or block) or a reinforced stud wall using the provided brackets. The wall must support the weight of the unit, basin, and water. We recommend professional installation to ensure it's level and secure. Consult the manufacturer’s fitting instructions for your chosen unit.
