What BTU output do I need from a towel radiator?

For a small en-suite (2-3m²), 800-1200 BTU is sufficient. A standard bathroom (4-6m²) needs 1500-2500 BTU. Larger bathrooms (7m²+) need 3000+ BTU. If the towel radiator is your only heat source in the room, choose one with a higher BTU output than the minimum requirement.

Can I use a central heating towel rail in summer?

A standard central heating towel rail only works when your boiler is running. If you want warm towels year-round, choose a dual fuel model which has an electric element for summer use, or an electric-only towel rail that works independently of your central heating system.

Towel Radiators at Bubly Bathrooms

Choose Towel Radiators using the heat output your room needs, rather than size alone. Check the stated output and its test conditions, along with the available wall space and pipe centres.

Confirm whether the model is designed for central heating, electric or dual-fuel use. Check which valves or elements are required and whether they are included.
